Spiegelpalast, Berlin Bahnhof Zoo. Set design and prop acquisition for an immersive theater show running from April to end of May 2019 in Berlin.
The show was a celebration of the type of music and culture found in Southern Louisiana, USA. Visitors were greeted in the entrance lobby by a shrine and encouraged to make a personal offering, thus enabling the shrine to grow organically throughout the duration of the show.
A total of 13 spaces provided continual musical and theater entertainment, whilst inviting the spectator to dance and participate in the performance. The main space of the tent was transformed into a forest with real trees and decrepit wooden shacks, as well as a reflective flooring material alluding to the murky waters of swamplands found in Southern Louisiana.
